Hitchhikers guide to a wholly unremarkable movie
Well, the movie was actually entertaining in a strange way. The opening credits where painfully slow, and the music score was swiped from A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Colosseum.
I guess I was expecting more zaniness from Eddie, but he came across more like a lounge act entertainer. The Sperm whale scene went as expected and was a nice bright spot. Other changes to be sure, but it did work for me. So all in all, I'm not too depressed about the whole thing.
I hear that Disney is considering a sequel or two, which would be great. I think with a little tweaking, using the first movie a learning experience, and the fact that The Restaurant At the End of the Universe could offer better material for a movie.
So I'm actually coming out of my depression and looking forward to more DNA goodness.
