Microsoft's 'Origami'

You ever suspect that Billy Boy must be getting tired of all the Google news lately? I think it shows in a recent quote of his:
I hear they're coming out with a robot that will cook hamburgers, too. Let's spread that rumour - there's nothing they can't do.

But I for one will not discount MS anytime soon. I have to admit I've been reluctant to climb aboard the Opensoar train. No thank you.

But it appears Microsoft has their own cool gadget lined up as rumors of the company's Origami Project is starting to take shape as a very small tablet computer, one perhaps affordable enough to appeal to mainstream consumers.

I haven't been able to justify with the my financial money manager and resident curator of Helga's house of pain to even get a PDA. Never mind a PDA wireless Treo. But maybe, just maybe I can justify a device with a screen bigger than that of a handheld but smaller than a notebook PC screen running on Windows XP and not CE.

Check out Microsoft's Origami Project web site. It doesn't tell us much at this time, but the flash presentation is spiffy, and more info will be released shortly.
