Best of the Worst Video - Galaxina

Norwood Matt did a great write up on the video Star Crash. I'm still shocked that I missed this flick, as it appears to take itself as a serious Sci-Fi effort. But it did remind me of an even cheesier movie, but one that understands not to take itself serious and works hard to spoof Star Wars, Star Trek and Aliens. Glaxina is a flick I watched back in 1982 and completely forgot it was an R rated film as I popped in the DVD recently to share with the family. Opps.

My Favorite parks of the movie:

1. Rock Eater - He's such a perverted little creature that Captain Cornelius Butt keeps tormenting.
   
2. Captain Cornelius Butt - Remember Avery Schreiber the old Doritos commercial guy that always would screw up a painting job or something sensitive when ever his buddy ate a crunchy Dorito? Well he's great in this role as the Bonehead Captain. Best Alien stomach re-enactment EVER!!
3. The Blue Star - This the object that everyone in the Galaxy is looking for. Every time they utter the name, unseen Choir lets out a brilliant Rejoice that stops the actors as they look around to see who keeps doing that.
4. Galaxina - This of course is the main reason, many claim is what I'm told, to see this. Played by Dorothy Stratten (Former Playmate that was killed by her husband before the premier of the movie), she is a robot that learns to program around her limitations

Honorable mentions go of course to the disgruntled workers on the ship that get no respect, like the black guy with the useless bat wings. Hilarious. Along with the biker gang that worships the God HaR Lee Dav Idson. But be warned, it's very very slow in between the gems.
