Paintball Eye injury

Looks like mom was right. "It's all fun and games until someone gets their eye shot out". If you're lucky enough not to lose an eye when shot with a paintball, this is potentially what the end result will look like.

The obvious question of 'why wasn't he wearing goggles?' doesn't fully apply here. He wasn't playing in the game, someone took upon themselves to shoot in his direction. He mentioned that it kinda hurt when he got hit. Well, after he woke up, that is...

FYI, the reason the eye looks like it does is because the pupil is dilated(hence the large diameter) and the iris (the colored part) is torn and the dark pigment is showing from behind where it used to be attached in the left bottom side of the iris. They say the iris can be stitched back to its rightful
spot if needed
