Too Fast too Furious too Dead
This traffic accident took place in Italy, but it reminds me of a few I saw in Germany. While they have a lower rate of accidents, when then they do have one, it's usually fatal. And this from a county that has a well designed driver Ed schools, laws and regulations. It takes a serious effort and money to get a license in Germany. The wife spent over 2500 DM to get her license at the earliest age of 18. Me? At 15 1/2 I just paid $10 to my school, spent a couple of hours on Saturday watching Metal of Death Driver Ed scare tactic film, and even less time on the road with the English teacher who really didn't want to be there. Pure stupidity to let kids drive at 16. Even dumber to think with our lack of effort or training that we should be allow to drive without speed limits. Why they let me drive in Germany with no questions asked is the kicker.

If driving wasn't their strength and English isn't your strength, this poses a very curious scenario. Especially since you had it all dished out from the same person. Was the English instruction performed while driving? PJ
