Where are my Categories Blogger?!!

First of all, I really like Blogger. It's free, what's not to like. But I do have an issue which I think they are dragging their feet on. Blogger users have been waiting for some time now for categories. The Archive feature is useless and only the category option would give us a better way to control our navigation. And please don't lecture me about alternative categories using Del.icio.us or some other bookmarking program. Those options are a pain to maintain and they don't go with the look and feel of my blog.

As an alternative, and I do not bring this up as an ultimatum Blogger, I've been seriously looking at Wordpress. I finally decided to install linux, MySQL and Wordpress(Wordpress/MysQL do not require Linux, I'm just looking for an excuse to play with it). Setup and configured with no problems. I like the idea now of being in control of my content database, but the best feature of course is the control Wordpress gives to navigation. They support categories and the ability to easily move the Next/Previous page.

So I'm not sure how much longer I can wait on Blogger. To date I've refused to bother with Archiving, but I can put it off no longer as my main page is just taking toooooo long to load. So I apologize for the long list of archive dates, as that's the look I was EXACTLY trying to avoid.
