The Internet is a series of Tubes

According to Reuters, Senator Ted "Tubes" Stevens has struck back at critics claiming a "Big" scientist has backed up his statement that the internet is indeed, a series of tubes.

I have a letter from a big scientist who said I was absolutely right in using the word 'tubes'.

The funny part to all of this is how obvious he's getting coached from the telecom lobbyist groups. I suspect they used the "tubes" or "Pipes" analogy to explain the internet to him, and how to justify their opposition to net-neutrality guidelines. You just know he then interpreted them as literal.

This just in....there was a major packet collision on the Level 3 tube connecting Seattle with San Fran. Major delays are expected throughout the day as tube workers clean up the mess. Expect all internets and dump trucks to be delayed by a day or two...
