More Google goodness

If you haven't paid attention to Google's offerings lately, you really have been missing out. One day I hope to be able to praise Microsoft Visio and Live's efforts, but right now it's all about Google. And for good reason, just look at what they are offering now. My Google Portal is even sweeter with the additions of themes.
No longer do I need to worry about transferring bookmarks or crucial URL's, I've them all stashed in my portal along with RSS Feeds for everything.

Next, one has to look no further then in their Gmail to see that something huge is up. Not that MS Office will be going away any time soon, but MS might want to take a hard look here as the following tools are easy to use, and they are all collaborative in nature.

• Calendar
• Photo Organizer
• Docs and Spreadsheets
• and of course publishing tools to blogger

And that's just from my short attention span perspective. I will be taking a closer look when time permits.

One word of caution. While I love my Gmail, I would really stress caution to those that might use if for their business. For Casual users that have nothing to fear if their email becomes public domain, go for it. But if you have the slightest issue with security, then you best read up on how Gmail is too creepy.
